Holiday Celebration in the Play Labs

Celebrate the Holidays in the Play Labs! Head down to Creative Adventure Lab in Dubuque on Saturday, December 17, and take on winter-themed challenges in each Play Lab. Submit photos of your completed challenges and you will be eligible for prizes! The first 30 admissions through the door will receive a FREE decorative ceramic ornament to paint.

We will also have three workshops you can sign up for throughout the event. Pre-registration is required for all three workshops: 

• Ornament Workshop (1 - 3 p.m.): Create stunning stained glass tree ornaments in this 2-hour workshop! You'll create 2-3 stunning tree ornaments (approximately 2"x4") featuring your own custom color choices. You'll also learn the basics of stained glass art, like how to cut, foil, and solder. Participants must be 16 years and older. Register here >
• Clay Tree Luminaries Workshop (1:30 - 3:30 p.m.): For adults and youth ages 10+! In this 2-hour workshop, you'll learn a variety of clay techniques to create unique winter-themed luminaries; the perfect addition to your home for some extra winter-wonderland magic. [CLASS IS FULL]
• Cookie Decorating Class with Steph's Cookies (3 - 4 p.m.): This is a beginner class that will include instruction on how to pipe royal icing and time to create three different holiday-themed cookie designs. Participants must be at least 5 years old to participate in the cookie decorating class (parents can accompany children in the class to assist). Registration is available below. 

Play Lab admission is $10/child (adults are free) and can be purchased ahead of time (click here to purchase) or when you arrive at the Play Labs.
