PLAYTIME CHALLENGE
A design competition with cash prizes. Challenging designers, engineers, and makers to imagine new, hands-on activities that foster creativity.
WHAT DO WE WANT?
Each Playtime Challenge asks local designers, engineers, students, and makers to help us develop new activities that foster creative play, to make available in our facility and for sale to our partner network.

WHAT DO WINNERS GET?
Finalists in each competition win a $500 cash prize and a stipend to actually fabricate your activity. These activities are installed in our facility and visitors select a people's choice winner, who receives an additional $2,500 cash prize.

In addition to cash prizes, all finalists also earn a 10% commission each time we sell the activity you designed through our partner network. We also try to contract with you to fabricate sales orders.

DESIGN FILES
Please upload a concept design document (PDF format). This document should contain any images, sketches, plans, and/or renderings of your concept that will allow our judges to fully understand the activity, materials, etc.
DEVELOPMENT BUDGET
Please upload an estimated budget (PDF format) outlining the following costs: materials, fabrication labor, fabrication processes (such as time on a cnc machine, etc), assembly labor, and any other costs associated with developing the final activity.
